This publication is a comprehensive chapter discussing different methods and strategies for utilizing digital signage in public places.


  • I think we should use a combination of the strategies discussed in the chapter
  • It would make sense to dedicate a portion of the video wall to Point-of-Transit messages, so that people passing in the hallway can glance at the wall, and get some useful information from it.
  • Other portions of the wall can be divvied up to use more Point-of-Wait content.
  • It is important that content is specially designed for the wall. Not everything will just "work" when put on the wall.
  • Necessary to implement some Internal Communications.


This chapter was useful for ideas, but much of it was laden with marketing tips. It was good in that it distinguished between the core types of digital signage.
