This article discusses the use of pillows as controllers for a recreational environment. The device takes readings of a users state of mind as well as taking direct input from the user to affect the environment.

The idea of an auto adjusting room seems very appealing. Using some of the interactions with the device to determine the users state of mind seems like a much better approach than simply using things like body heat and pulse sensors.

It seems like nesting electronics inside a pillow would invite overheating and a potential fire hazard.

The device runs on batteries. In order to make the batteries easily accessible to replace, it seems that it would reduce the comfort of the pillow. This would make it more of a fluffy remote than a useful pillow.
