Touch Projector

This article discusses the use of a portable touch screen device as a dynamic input device for multiple digital displays. The general premise is that a camera will decipher what display the device is pointing at and act as an input device for that display.

Multiple displays are easily selected and effected.

The interface allows movement of the entire mobile device to move an object on the display. This effectively gets rid of any limitations inherent in the mobile device due to its size.

The thumbnail when an object is moved off screen allows for easy transfer of elements between devices.

The solutions of zooming and picture freezing seem as though they would make transfer between displays more cumbersome.

The concept would not be easily portable. Accurate interaction requires a specific calibration to the room. It may also have trouble registering its position if the application is not restarted from the exact same position.
